Am I crazy to take Manning 1st overall?

I have the first overall pick in my 12 team ppr league this Friday. All TDs are worth 6pts. The weird thing about my league is that we only have to start 1 RB.

This means I'd most likely end up with a RB like Ball, Bell or Foster at the end of the 2nd round.

I'm leaning towards doing it. Agree/disagree?

It makes sense in a TD driven league.

I had the 4th pick in my league and took him. I figure I'll either have a kickass fantasy season, or for $65 sabotage the Donkey's season.

Win, win.

If you only start one RB....why not get one of the top 4 and never have to worry about it. Yeah...you could get someone like Bell (who might now be suspended), Ball or Foster...but they aren't going to be tops at their position. Like it was said earlier....I'd rather have Rodgers or Brees over Manning. He won't be throwing up another 50+ TD season this year.

If you could guarantee yourself Ball then I'd take Peyton. This will be the only year Ball will be drafted outside the top 8. And it sucks to say that :/

Yeah...you should totally have a QB/RB combo from the same team.

Should I hand back my fantasy football championship from last year? I just looked over my 2013 roster and Peyton and Knoshown are still there

Having passing TDs worth 6 isn't as dramatic a difference as most people assume. Peyton will put up more points, but so will other QBs. Compared to a 4pptd league, if Peyton goes off and throws for 5 TDs, that's only 4 more points than a 3 TD game from some other QB you could have gotten much much later.

Unless you're playing with Hootie in a 2 QB league, you shouldn't be taking a QB in the first round, much less the first pick.

Wrong.

In a 6 point TD league...

Manning is, without a doubt, the #1 pick.

Trust me. Have you guys watched the preseason? With these illegal contact penalties multiplying by the dozens Manning is going to throw 60 TDs this year.

Please, please, please, please, please LISTEN to me for once...

Draft QB's and WR's...

STAY AWAY FROM RB's

My RB's are going to be guys like Joique Bell, Andre Ellington, Lamar Miller, etc...

PLEASE TRUST ME ONE TIME

THIS IS THE YEAR YOU DON'T TAKE RB'S EARLY

TAKE RECEIVERS AND MAKE SURE IF YOU CAN...GET PEYTON MANNING

Manning is the #1 pick in every 6 point league...and there's a really good ****ing debate for taking him in a 4 point 1 QB traditional league, too

Where was this advice prior to last nights draft???

Since the Manning owner is an Eagles fan I could probably trade McCoy and either Cutler or RG3 for Manning and Bush. Bad idea?
