a good exercise watch/band?
so all the CP runners/athletes ... anyone have a good recommendation for one of those watches/armbands that measures heart rate/oxygen level/Pedometer etc?
Nothing super complicated but a stopwatch/heart rate/Oxygen level/Pedometer all-in-one would be great. I haven't found an Oxy-meter yet that didn't involve one of those silly finger clip things which is not what i want. This is a gift for someone so i would like something really nice. Thanks |

The ones I found and bought were okay. I don't think you'll find something super good.

I use a Garmin Forerunner 210...but I only use it for GPS tracking. It has a heart rate chest band accessory though.

Makes sense - I didn't have you pegged as a runner.

Instead of the Garmin I would suggest a Moto Activ Does so much more than a plain garmin.

Yes, and it can even monitor your work to the music playing. It keeps track of yoru exercise tempo per song that it plays. You can have it autoswitch to songs you performed at a higher level to.

I'm a Garmin fanboy, mostly due to the fact that they're local.
210 would be a great option if you wanted GPS. You didn't mention GPS in your OP, though, so if you just want heart rate and foot pod, you could do the FR70 for about $70 cheaper. Personally, though, I'll never buy another training watch that's not GPS enabled. |

I use a stop watch. I like the digital stop watch with large display because I keep track of time a lot when working out.

I have my Nike Fuelband+ and an Ipod with a sensor for my shoe. Really only measures any kind of running activity (I.e. Jogging, Basketball, ect). I use it way more than I used my GPS watch. It is pretty stylish, and keeps me motivated. But if you find yourself doing other activites, thd fitbit/jawbone type accesories are more accurate.
