Shopping for a new computer
Shopping for a new computer, needs to be either windows 7 or 8 what does everyone recommend? Needs to have card readers, would like to have Word, excel and PP is preferred. Don't need a gaming computer just something to surf the net, e-mail and needs to be somewhat capable of light work. I manage a web site using an old version of dream weaver.
I know there are a lot of computer guys here so was looking for some input. My almost 6yr old Dell is about to bite the dust. Looking to spend about 1K or so a little more won't hurt to bad and would like a monitor to go with that...needs to be 23" at least. Just starting to look around, going to check Tiger, Amazon and Dell. What's out there and what is recommended by the Planet guru's?? Thanks in advance for the input!!! Bt. |

I'm sure it is easy, however I don't want to mess with building one right now...maybe someday I will. Looking for recommendations.

Can't go wrong with the Dell if you want hardware support. If you're in KC you might see what the Microsoft store can offer you, although unless they start getting more foot traffic in there I don't know how much longer they're going to pay for that much real estate at Oak Park.
