Another golf question..
Trying to keep it pretty simple here. Basically I have around 100-140 to spend. (on ebay that can get me something fairly nice) Looking at a new driver. I live in SEK and don't have access to a nice range or place to demo a bunch of new ones so I have to go off past experiences and reviews. I have always been a Cobra hitter, So I am leaning towards some of their new products (s2,ZL,s3) but I am not 100% sure, I am about a 3 handicap and I'm looking for something workable and long with a little forgiveness. Also have heard alot of good things about clevelands new stuff, and surprisingly the old Nickent 4DX with the interchangeable shafts. In the past I have hit the Following:
Cobra 460 Ping G2 8.5* Cobra HS-9 9.5* Taylormade R7 9.5* Cobra s9-1 9.5* RAZR hawk 9.5* Adams speedline fast 10 9.5* - currently hitting- not a bad club just not long enough for me. I recently hit the Cobra ZL 11.5 stiff just for the heck of it and loved the way it felt, just too high lol. also have hit R11, 909d2, 910 d3, diablo edge, diablo octane and none of them were doin it for me. I have really been leaning to a ZL, or S3 but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Even swapping out shafts on a new club is possible as well, just trying to get that right combo! Really just looking for some input of what some of you golfers are swingin and if you have any clubs to recommend or advice, anything would be very appreciated! Thanks guys. |

If it feels right in your hands, use it.

That's tough. Are there no ranges around you that have "demo days" like once per year? Those are godsends for trying new stuff. It might be worth a drive up to KC (or Wichita) when they have them going on. I think they mostly happen in the spring, though.
I recently switched from an old Sasquatch driver to a Callaway Diablo. I went to the demo thinking I'd like another Nike or Taylormade, but after hitting several brands the Callaway was my favorite. |

Other than that, with work I rarely ever get the chance to make it to them out of town. And the guy at the shop here isnt one that likes to let you just hit a bunch of clubs, unless you buy one that day and he is high! |

Started playing again after 22 years off. Using a Taylor Burner 9.5 loft $129.00. Can hit the ball 290-350 with it. |
