Chiefs Player Listed As 2nd Biggest Brainiac In NFL
You hear talk of who the "fastest" player in the NFL is or who the "strongest" player in the NFL is....but the "smartest"??
Well why not? As the saying goes, "its always harder to coach stupid" so here is a list published today of the NFL's Smartest Players ranked by TheRichest.com While Ryan Fitzpatrick grabbed the #1 spot our DE Big Cat nabbed the #2 spot on the list. Does it mean we have the 2nd smartest player in the NFL? hey TheRichest.com printed it so who are we to argue. A smart Cat is always a more dangerous hunter than a dumb one...hopefully that translates to how this Cat will hunt down opposing QBs in 2014 http://www.therichest.com/sports/foo...l-brainiacs/9/ |

I remember listening to a podcast from the 2013 East West Shrine Game with Jerry Glanville as a guest on it. (Glanville was the Head Coach of the team that had Catapano) and he was talking about his squad saying something like "you wont believe this but the best Defensive End I have on my team goes to school at Princeton! I told the guys listen be nice to this guy and dont take any cheapshots at him because he may end up being President or something one day" his tone of voice and the way he said it was pretty funny

Meh. I was far from motivated in high school and I still would have qualified to be recruited to the Ivy League with my Academic Index Score. There are smart players all over the country, and some with degrees in something other than psychology. Definitely a biased list.

A lot of east coast and ivy league bias in that article.

NFL's 2nd biggest brainiac nearly flunked out of college.
"Even though I was taking these beatings on the field and my freshman year GPA was probably a negative number that experience really ignited a fire in me that I will never forget." http://princetonvarsityclub.org/2012/10/596/ Meanwhile, Sam Acho doesn't get a mention because he was good enough to be recruited by a school that excelled in both academics and football. James Casey, who triple-majored, doesn't get a sniff because he chose an elite academic school that isn't located in the East. |
