Toyota Tundra

Anyone drive a Toyota Tundra? I'm at looking at trading in my Jeep for an 06' Tundra crew cab. This particular one is 2wd with 94k miles. It is loaded and everything works. Much cheaper than my Wrangler. Which is what I'm most interested in.

Anyone know of any problems with these? My brother owns a couple but they are much newer models.

No idea, but you may have your man card revoked for driving a Toyota pickup.

I think that's the one that has the secondary air injection pump in the passenger wheel well. They take on water when n it rains and then rusts the valves. It gets expensive, i would make sure they did whay the tsb said to do with the pump and hoses

Now you have me nervous. I'm reading up on this. What should I ask the dealership? It is a Toyota dealership so they should know what I'm talking about.

Absolutely any Toyota 4.7l V8 should have a SAIP bypass installed. Here's a good read on it http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-ge...important.html

The user slyfox75 makes a $60 kit that I've used on three 4.7's. The 4.0l V6 has the same problem.

Does it snow very often in Oklahoma? Only having 2wd might bite you in the ass if you deal with snow more than once or twice a year?

I've had two vehicles with 4wd and never used it on either of them. I have a work vehicle that I drive four days a week and my current vehicle sits in the driveway 3-4 days a week. I'm tired of paying $340 a month for a toy. This Tundra could be paid off in less then a year. The Jeep will take another 4 years.

I don't know anything about them but there are a couple of good people on here that sell cars for a living I'm sure they will give a reply later. They helped me out a few months back.

Hope it works out whatever you decide.

$340/mo? Just buy an older Jeep for a toy.

Do it, but run a car fax on it first (ownership history can tell you a lot). My only concern would be the tires, you don't want to have to throw a whole bunch of money into the tires, truck tires are very expensive. Good luck.

Tires look to have a lot of tread left on them.
