Ants, you got them?

Been fighting ants for the last month, rain is bringing them in. Inside I have been using 1 part 20 mule team borax 3 parts sugar and some pancake syrup, kills them for a couple day's. Just brought out the big guns and hosed down the foundation with pesticide. Anyone else fighting these little buggers?

Shit yes. This stuff is like ant-crack. They flock to it to eat it up then disappear after a few days...

We've used this for years with good results, but we got a couple kittens for our kids this past Christmas. Now I need to find a pet friendly solution.

EDIT: http://www.terro.com/faq#Pets It's apparently OK to use around pets and kids

I'd get them coming in somewhere along an outside wall and underneath the dishwasher. I sprayed antkiller along the foundation outside and put a couple "ant trap" things under the dishwasher (they carry the 'food' back and it kills all their friends). That seemed to work within a couple days.

I nuke them around the first of May. I put Terro outdoor traps out around the foundation, and use whatever is on sale in the drop spreader. Haven't seen any so far, but I'll probably nuke the yard again in another couple weeks.

I thought I had termites a few years ago and bought some crazy $50 a jug pesticide that was supposed to last 7 years (used half), mixed that with another probably 1/2 bottle of regular bug killer in a 2 gallon sprayer and went to town. Sprayed a 5 foot perimeter, eat that bugs.

Bleach in the kitchen and ant traps seem to work.
