Jamaal Charles: Starter?
Just wondering what people think of JC(Jamaal Charles) on here. I think he's
not a starting back yet, but in a couple years he will be. I just think that he's a player that if you give him more receiving plays he'll be a more productive player, but not as a handoff back that will plow people over. I also think that he will strive if there was a running game because he would definitely compliment a bruising running back. It would have worked with LJ, but he was out for a month and really there was not much of a running game the whole season. I know I'm being ****in' captain obvious with the last few sentences, but I really think he'd be a good compliment for a brick shit house RB that has a running game and not start next year. |

I think he can have a career path like Westbrook. Start out as a 3rd down back and recieve touches in a limited amount and work up to recieving the majority of touches after a couple of years in the league.

I can see that. I don't like it that Westbrook is hurt a lot due to being a productive guy and getting laid out from time to time when catching passes. So that brings in is JC going to be durable through the whole promotion process? He did have a bum ankle through half the season and did play, but I think it was only a couple plays the whole game.

I think Charles could add about 10-15 lbs to his frame and hopefully improve his durability.

I think that Charles needs to add more than 10-15 lb's to remain durable in the NFL. I've been around many current and former NFL players and have always thought that the NFL is very accurate with their listings of height and weight however, in Jamaal Charles case, trust me, it's wrong. He can't be more than 175 pounds. I just don't think he'll ever be able to take any significant pounding in the NFL at his current size.

Wow. I didn't realize that JC weighed that much. Nevermind about my argument. Continue and discuss amongst yourselves.

LJ is gone. I don't think Charles is ready to start, but I think Kolby would do just fine so long as he has a good QB and complement runner like Charles.

What's a starter now a days anyways?
Everybody splits carries. So I'd be perfectly happy with Charles as our starter. He'd just need spelled with another back. |
