Tom Heckert: Likely new GM...
According to multiple reports, if this deal gets wrapped, Heckert is in.
EDIT: Schefter reporting that Dorsey is also someone Reid wants to talk to. Thoughts? He's no Pioli, but have his moves with the Browns left you impressed? Quote:

There aren't any 29 year old QBs in the draft this year, nor are there any RBs he'd want to waste a pick on in the first round.
It sounds fine to me. I really would have loved to see Andy Reid dig WAY back to his WCO connections and hire Eliot Wolf, but something's gotta give I suppose. |

At least Heckert comes from the world of college scouting. He's worked with some of the greatest NFL coaches stretching back to Schula at Miami. He's young, and he's not Scott Pioli so quit your bitching.

Sounds like Reid is going to have most of the power on who the picks are. Any GM would be there to give Reid his advice and knowledge.

Seems very decent tbh. The intent was there with RG3, and it was desperation to take Weeden. Don't like that but I understand it; too much pressure on GMs to take QBs when they don't have one ... except in KC anyway. But luckily the #1 pick makes that pretty easy for Heckert and anyone else.

he traded up for 2 different RBs, the most dime a dozen, short shelf life position in the NFL. His taste in QBs leaves much to be desired, save for RGIII who he couldn't close the deal on.
Haden and Gordon are very nice pickups though. As for Richardson, don't get me wrong, he's good, but I dunno that he's trade up good. |
