My Auction Team
Completed our annual auction/keeper league draft on Saturday.
Details:
Pretty standard head-to-head scoring, though we added a 1/2 point per reception this year because we are limiting roster moves now to 1/week. My team came out pretty strong, but I'm going to make a move at some point with one of my two QBs. Wouldn't mind some advice on that. Here's my squad, which rotowire projects as the top-scoring team in the league: QB1: Andrew Luck ($15 - keeper) RB1: Adrian Peterson ($40 - keeper) RB2: Marshawn Lynch ($15 - keeper) WR1: Roddy White ($30) WR2: Reggie Wayne ($26) TE: Owen Daniels ($1) FLEX: Pierre Garcon ($15) DST: Packers K: Ryan Succop (gotta love having the kicker on an Alex Smith-piloted offense) BENCH: Denarius Moore ($1) Zac Stacy ($1) Robert Turbin ($1) Toby Gerhart ($1) Robert Woods ($0) Zach Ertz ($0) Travis Kelce ($0) PRACTICE SQUAD: Colin Kaepernick ($0) Matt Barkley ($0) Now, a few things. Kaepernick can't be protected on my practice squad after this season ends, so I will have to choose between him and Luck as my QBoTF. Obviously, with Kaep I would have more money to spend in the auction next year (he would pick up a $4 salary when I move him to my active roster and add $4 as a keeper, making him an $8 keeper for 2014). Questions: Assuming both QBs are performing at the expected levels, which one do I move for a playoff push, and which one do I keep? What is fair value (for example, if a guy is rebuilding, Kaepernick for Julio Jones - who is not keepable - and Geno Smith - who is his practice squad QB - is something I'd thought about)? |
