Who really runs the NFL?

If the NFL was a conspiratorial group, who would be the mastermind behind it? Is it the commissioner, currently a fellow named Roger Goodell? Is it the owners as a group? Some subset of owners that really runs the show? Or someone else?

If it's all the owners, that's 32 people, more or less. In any group that large, 20 percent are probably really running the show. In that case, who are the six most influential and active owners in league affairs?

Poll forthcoming, you might ask? Yes, poll forthcoming.

There can't be any grand conspiracy. The Cowboys have been bad for 20 years. Why would the league allow that to happen?

This is true. Why would they televise them nationally ten times a year if they were truly America's team and destined to win if they weren't going to win?

because of Jerry bucking trends on stadium revenue deals in the 90's, and when he signed his own licensing agreements outside of the NFL??

Plus, he's really a terrible GM, and should fire his damn self.

he's the new Al Davis - relevant 20 years ago. the Cowboys probably won't win another sb as long as JJ is the owner.

I think there is a lot of truth in this post. He removed himself from the inner circle IMO with those moves.

Automatic drama every year centering around a large market team, easy "Romo choked again" storyline for the media. Even now that they suck, they're still polarizing that people will tune in to watch them fail.

No, no silly. It's because the league was mad at Jerry for getting all the profits for Cowboys merchandise, remember?

You don't get it, dumb shit.
The NFL makes it's $ from the TV contracts. Dallas winning PO games means bookoo viewers, sky high ratings, and Bajillions of dollars.

We already went through this with your dumb ass last season.
