I’m surprised he made the roster. Still think he will be traded.

Boy the LB position sure is marginalized. Just looked up the KC depth chart on their website.

2 LB's and 3 CB's are listed as starters. It's a base 4-2-5 on the DC.

Jesus our back 7 needs work.

I'm not and I don't think he has any value. He's 'ok' for cheap-ish depth, I guess.

As it should be - 11 personnel is the 'base pro set' offense in the modern era.

Yeah, I mean it makes sense. That package gets most snaps anyway.

I'm just not accustomed to seeing depth charts arranged like that. They're finally getting with the times... because what you said has been true for a while now.

This is what some of us were saying all dang offseason when people were flipping out over the LB situation. The panic is minimal because they won't be fielding 3 LB's a lot.

Well, all of our LB's are sub-par, which isn't good. It's not just like "wow, we have a real problem with that third linebacker". It's more like "So Hitchens is far and away our best linebacker huh? Yikes."

I look at KC's starting back 7 and I'm thinking it will be a hell of an accomplishment if this D finishes in the top 20. That's all Spags has to accomplish to impress me.

Lee was a fine acquisition and whether we like it or not, Hitchens is going to be the other starter. That's why the statement was repeated over and over.

I'm cool with Hitchens and Lee. Especially with that line. Jones, Clark, Okefor, and Nadi?

Yes.

Someone will get hurt, a team will get desperate and flip us a 4th or 5th.

OR...trade him + a 3rd to Arizona for Peterson.
