Verrett is out for Week 3.
Jason Verrett (knee) is out for Week 3 against the Chiefs.
Verrett's knee has been bothering him for a couple weeks and he doesn't seem to be getting any better. Look for the Chiefs to attack Trevor Williams just as the Dolphins did in Week 2.

I mean that's not QUITE as bad as Marcus Peters being out, but given the mediocrity of the rest of their secondary and the fact that Verrett is damn good in his own right, that's gonna sting quite a bit.

He's one of those guys that, as a football fan, I wish could get on the field more often. Seems like any time I'm unfortunate enough to be stuck watching the Chargers (which is mostly just an exercise in waiting for them to step on their dicks), he does something exciting.

Good ballplayer.

Just making a comparison.

If Peters were out and we were facing Keenan Allen, I'd shit a gold brick (even if Peters did so poorly against him last year that I can't imagine anyone else doing worse).

My point being that if you have Hill on your fantasy team, you probably wanna make sure you start him. There's some opportunity for Hill to find a lot of real-estate out there without the Chargers most athletic corner (by far) trying to stick in his pocket.

Hmm. I have Newton as my QB1 in my league and it seems like a no brainer to start him against NO even with the bad ankle and shoulder, but given how he's been so far this year, I'm seriously wondering if I should move Alex from QB2 to QB1 in light of this news.

I have Hill and Hunt and picked up Smith after week 1 on the free agent list
