Wade Davis, Why can't I quit you?
Just watched Davis strike out Bryce Harper for his 23rd save in 23 attempts. The thought of him not being in the Royals bullpen this year cuts me deep. Dreams of HDH. Oh well..."Go Royals". That is all.

I don't think people realize the contract Holland signed. I don't see it here as much, but on Twitter, other sites, etc. People act like the Royals missed out by not taking a flier on Holland.

Holland didn't just sign some cheapo contract for a hope and a prayer. Well he kind of did, but the Rockies gave him a pretty sweet deal. It's loaded with incentives. He won't hit them all, sure, but he's going to hit quite a few of them. He has a legit shot to make more $$ than Wade in 2017/2018.

Dayton would've been destroyed if he'd signed a guy who was throwing 88 to a potential $35 million contract.
