What are we missing?
So what are our Chiefs missing that they will need to be a legit Super Bowl team? What's your 3 year plan to get us there?

Aside from Alex Smith's limitations, and our need for Mahomes to shine, what are our Chiefs missing that they will need to be a legit Super Bowl team? Say in the next 3 yrs, what moves will it take to get there?

We need Chesson or Conley to step up and be a legit number 2 wr. We need Hunt to take the starting running back position and not look back. We need to solid the LG position. We need to fill both ILB positions. We need Mitchell to show that the end of last season wasn't a fluke, and we need Ford and Houston to wreak havoc on opposing offenses.

There's a fair amount of holes, tbh; that said, there's more than enough talent to win it all with a quality QB. So that's basically all we lack.

If Mahomes is a top 10 QB this is a SB quality team. If he's a top 5 QB this is would be a SB favorite.

This... We're not missing many if any pieces at this time. We just need mahomes to pan out, if that happens in 2+ years we are a serious contender.
