24 Hours... with Patrick Mahomes

Haven't read it all yet, but the 24 Hours article the MMQB did with Adam Schefter during free agency was really good...

I wish we could get him. He's being hyped up more than others and will not be available. He's underrated in my opinion. Mitch is way overrated.

Hyped,, but possible smokescreen for some teams who want desired prospects to fall and snag them. All bulls hit till draft day

Mahomes and Watson are my personal favorites, but I'd be happy with any of the top 3 - Watson, Mahomes, Trubisky. Kizer I would be excited still, but he's not the guy I want.

I enjoyed that, but what made me most curious of this whole passage was in the next to last paragraph was Seattle's GM John Schneider being there. He clearly has no intention of drafting him so I'm assuming he's there for preparation of having to face him within the division in the future?

So that makes me pretty concerned about Arizona pulling the trigger at 13. It's gotten to the point of we will have to trade up to get Pat, but how much is too much compensation? Especially if it's up to #12 from #27.

To get from 27 to 12 we're liking looking at trading away next years 1st rounder plus a 3rd from this year. So two 1st and a 3rd to move up 15 spots for a QBOTF

I think it may well be worth that price. But then I am not a talent scout and don't follow college football.

I'm good at CB/MLB/OG.

Anything else (not filling a need) I'll be pissed...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

If KC thinks he's their guy, and that's the spot they feel they have to go to get him, then I have no problem with it. No greater need than a franchise QB in this league, so pay the price if you're confident your guy is there.

I'd have no problems doing it. If everything goes correctly we're looking at another late 1st round pick again next year, so the value isn't a huge risk to lose. And there's always ways to trade up towards the top of the 2nd round next year. Dorsey can manipulate the draft if he wants to. We have the picks to do it with.

CB is insanely deep this year, through at least the top 3 rounds. The other 2 positions are easily filled with day 2 and early day 3 picks as well. If you want the QB, you pay the price to get him.

I'd be ecstatic with Kizer at his worth, not where he'll be picked.

He's not a 1st or even 2nd round QB.

I'd be willing to trade up to pick him in round 3 but he'll be gone by pick 29 in round 1.

I would trade our 1st in 2017 and 2018 and a 3rd this year for pick 12 and wouldn't think twice. That would still leave us with 9 picks this year, and a roster that can afford to not have a future 1st rounder more than about any other in the league right now.

If Cleveland would take that deal, Dorsey should line it up right now and make the move on draft day.

You propose on pulling what the Redskins did for RG3. That is insanity.
