Quarterbackery: Round 1, Heat 16

We have our final heat of Round 1, where the space-age team of the Astrodome takes on the unrepentantly racist team. I present the Tennessee Titans versus the Washington Redskins. Let's compare them.

Tennessee

Warren Moon - 10 seasons
Dan Pastorini - 9
Steve McNair - 8
Vince Young - 3
Pete Beathard - 3
Kerry Collins - 2
Chris Chandler - 2
Ken Stabler - 2
Marcus Mariota - 1 (and current starter)
Zach Mettenberger - 1
Ryan Fitzpatrick - 1
Jake Locker - 1
Matt Hasselbeck - 1
Billy Volek - 1
Billy Joe Tolliver - 1
Oliver Luck - 1
Gifford Nielsen - 1
Charley Johnson - 1
George Blanda - 1 (led the team for 7 seasons, but only 1 since 1966 and he was also a slimy cheating Raider)

They produced 13 pro bowls, led by Warren Moon with 6.

Washington

Joe Theisman - 8 seasons
Billy Kilmer - 7
Mark Rypien - 5
Sonny Jurgenson - 5 (led team for 7 seasons, but only 5 since 1966)
Jason Campbell - 3
Patrick Ramsey - 3
Gus Frerotte - 3
Kirk Cousins - 2 (and current starter)
Robert Griffin - 2
Mark Brunell - 2
Brad Johnson - 2
Jay Schroeder - 2
Rex Grossman - 1
Donovan McNabb - 1
Tony Banks - 1

My thoughts:

Tennessee. They had pretty good quarterbacks for 27 years in Moon, Pastorini, and the really tough Steve McNair. Other than that, it's a complete disaster. But that's probably above average around the league, so I rated them "somewhat strong". It's pretty much a nod to Moon.

Washington. Man, 12 pro bowls with that list? Have they ever been above average at QB? Maybe Jurgensen was above average, I guess, but he was before my time. I think a random general manager off the street (but not Scott Pioli) could have had a better quarterback history than that. I think their pro bowls were generally because they had strong teams around the quarterback. I rated them "somewhat weak" as an homage to the pro bowls, but it's not an impressive timeline.
