The Second Annual Easy 6 Mock Draft

I know you've all been anxiously awaiting this and so here it is from The Master prognosticator!

#1 - CB Artie Burns, with the top five corners off the board we still get a guy with good size (6'0 195), he has the length and top end speed to be the real deal. Effectively re-routes receivers, very physical at the LOS. Just needs some discipline and technique work

#2 - DE Jihad Ward, long and athletic with great awareness setting the edge. Has the initial burst to get into the backfield quickly and has upside as a pass rusher. Perfect 3-4 end size at 6'5 295

#4 - WR Rashard Higgins, fluid mover and sharp route runner who consistently creates separation against one on one coverage. Good hands and adjust well to poorly thrown balls. Solid, and needed, size here at 6'2 190

#5 - OLB Jimmy Bean, 6'5 250 is a fluid athlete who can turn the corner. Wide shoulders and long arms. Needs a good strength program but we have one of those. Nice project/insurance at a critical position for us

#5 - S Doug Middleton, 6'0 210 is instinctive in coverage with the range to work off the hash. Works hard against the run. Good depth

#6 - G Chase Farris, 6'5 310, good power and functional strength, fluid mover and can move defenders when he sinks his hips. Raw, but a couple years on the pine could provide solid depth or even a starter eventually

#7 - DT Antwuan Woods, 6'1 320, squatty space eater is very hard to move, has the power to occupy multiple blockers. Starter potential when healthy

So there it is, the best draft ever!

Seems pretty high for Ward to get picked

I see Burns as a possibility for us.

You picked a group of guys that I have never heard of. You've probably just nailed Dorsey's draft, lol.

It would be an acceptable draft result for me. The values seem a bit of a stretch.. meaning I think all should be available a round later. Comparing to what could actually happen though? yes, your draft here isn't a bad one, for me.

I didnt get shut out, thanx guys!

What I tried to do was pick down the list of players to match the fact that we pick 28th in each round, figuring that in most cases the top names would be gone by then, maybe that helps to account for the lack of name recognition

But I definitely tried to pick guys that fit the Dorsey profile... prototype measurables for their position in our system and individual attributes desired by our position coaches

Like Higgins for example, a polished route runner capable of beating one on one coverage consistently, etc

Then again, I'm new at this... so it shouldnt surprise me that it didnt go over well

I really like the Woods pick. I think he's been underrated.

Maybe I'm not so crazy after all, using the Fanspeak - On The Clock Draft Simulator, the top three guys at the positions I targeted were the exact same ones that I chose here

CB - Burns
DE - Ward
WR - Higgins

http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/draft.php

Actually, Kendall Fuller was still there ahead of Burns but I passed on him because what I've read says he is best when facing the LOS
