Run blocking rank: 3rd

Penalties Rank: 16th

Stud: Whisper it quietly, but Eric Fisher (+4.2) has played really well since returning to right tackle.

Dud: That’s good, because the guy he replaced, Jah Reid (-7.3), really wasn’t playing well at all.

Summary: The offseason moves have worked, because Mitch Morse has hit the ground running, and Ben Grubbs has played better than anyone they had at guard last year. There are still some things to be decided, and it will be worth watching how Fisher plays as the season goes on, but it’s been an impressive turnaround so far for the Chiefs.

PFF is a joke, but if you watch other games, you can see that much of the rest of the league is garbage along the O-Line.

So, yes, this O-Line is among the best in the league. and yes, Alex Smith is holding the ball too long and makes this line appear to be worse than it is.

Alex Smith holds the ball too long for sure, I have tons of pics saved where he takes a sack with multiple guys open. I do wonder how they rank their o lines though. I'm sure they add up all of the individual grades and that probably isn't an accurate reflection of how good or bad an O line actually is. These guys don't work very well together. Not sure how PFF grades all those failed stunt, and blitz pickups.

Watching Alex take a sack when a WR opens up down the field 2 seconds earlier makes me want to punch a baby.
