All in different hats most likely. I'm predicting John Alt in the 1st one.

1. Shields no Brainer

2. Waters see 1

3. Scott had to take him over Branden. Branden bailed on us.

Tougher heat that I expected given the volume of offensive linemen who played 3+ years. I went:

#1 - Will Shields. When you move your right guard out to left tackle due to injury and he still dominates ... that's unreal. Never missed a game, never got arrested even though he was from Nebraska, and his wife even posted here briefly. Can't beat that.

#2 - Irv Eatman. He's the first giant I ever saw in real life. That alone is worth the price of admission. Plus, I liked how we snagged him from the USFL.

#3 - Ed Budde. 14 seasons in the trenches, and he stayed until the bitter end to protect Lenny the Cool. I'll give him a nostalgia vote.

It kills me to note vote for Dave Szott because I was a huge Szott fan. He was a great success story. But like his pro bowl votes, he couldn't quite crack into the top tier.

And Glenn Parker is another one that I hate not voting for. He kind of saved one of our seasons once.

I think Siglar's contributions are underrated since he played on such a strong line, so I guess I'll underrate him here too.

Aw, geez. And I missed Brian Waters' name. He might have made my top three. Amazingly mobile and fun to watch.

Shields and Waters were easy. Choosing between Szott and Budde was a tough one. Had to go old school and go with Budde.

The early results are surprising to me. I figured that Shields would run away with it, but Szott and Waters are doing better than I expected relative to Eatman and Budde. I figured that would be a four-way race. I also expected Glenn Parker to get some votes, and he's got zilch so far.

It was when his final contract was coming up. She came and made a few posts in response to some people who were debating the positional value of a guard. I don't think she came away with an undying love for this place.
