Donna Douglas, best known for her role as Elly May Clampett in the Beverly Hillbillies (Source: WAFB)

PRIDE, LA (WAFB) -
Family members say Donna Douglas passed away this morning at the age of 81.

Douglas was an actress, best known for her role as Elly May Clampett, the only daughter of Jed Clampett, in the CBS television series The Beverly Hillbillies.

In 2011, Douglas sued toy manufacturer Mattel Inc., claiming the company used her name and likeness for a Barbie doll without authorization. The suit was settled.

She was born in 1933, in Pride, LA and lived in Zachary, LA.

Douglas attended St. Gerard High School, a Roman Catholic school, where she played softball and basketball. She was a member of the school's first graduating class.

She was a "Miss Baton Rouge" and was named "Miss New Orleans" in 1957.

My answer, Mary Ann is my favorite but woulda done both at the same time! Sprinkle in I dream of Jeanie too!!! "Oh master!"

In fact, I think I am going to find some reruns of Gilligan's Island and go rub one off.......for old times sake. Just kiddin, I think...damn she was sexy as hell. I know this is about Ellie Mae but I LOVED me some Mary Ann.

OK, some of you that are not into Nubian sisters may not be up on game but Thelma of Good Times.......words can't describe.......She is still fine a hell now but back then.......let's just say she made a brotha stay in the bath room a long time....LOL!!

Do you ever see the TV ads for some black dating website? I think they're national ads, and the two women are ogling some guy in a grocery store. If the women in that commercial really need help getting dates, then something is really wrong. Every time that commercial comes on, I set down whatever else I'm doing and just concentrate on the television.
