In Round 4, we have 8 heats, each with four scenes. You'll vote for two, and 16 heats will survive. Four additional wildcards will be added to get us to our Top 20 Favorite Chiefsplanet Scenes.

Well, it got tough after the first one. My votes:

#1 - Raiders of the Lost Ark. This is epic. It's classic. It's epically classic and classically epic. It's the movie scene that we all wish we were in.

#2 - Saving Private Ryan. This may be the first time I've voted for this scene during the tournament, but I think it beats the other contenders based on the Hanks-to-gunfire ratio.

#3 - Pulp Fiction. I almost went with this one. Almost. It could easily be #2.

#4 - Tombstone. It's a fine scene. I have nothing against other than a general disdain for westerns.

Absolutely brutal choice between that insanely realistic Normandy invasion and the always brilliant, but particularly good here, Christopher Walken.

... but after stewing on this for a minute or two, theres something more important being viewed and appreciated in/by the work here, they ran straight into an extremely well defended kill zone... it was good for Americans to see just what we did that day.

Yeah, he could have walked out of there if he'd just ducked the boulder.

But that wouldn't have been as fun for a 6 year old Gadzooks who was thinking, "why didn't he just duck the boulder?"

Maybe he instinctively knew that the boulder would block the cave entrance and he had to stay ahead of it or he would be trapped.

The scene was incredibly well lit considering there was no evidence of torches or lamps. That would suggest multiple openings to allow sunlight to get through.
Indiana Jones could have easily escaped through any one of the openings with his trusty whip.

I would tend to agree. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad scene, but it's certainly not one of the best in the movie. I think the first time I saw it I liked it better, so maybe it's a scene that's best in its initial shock value.
