Advice on protecting a paintjob

My astrophotography student surprised me with this really cool mural for helping her this year with her astrophotography work. She got rave reviews on the Department of Interiors site for some of her images.

Anyway she did this awesome mural for me on the side of my Astrovan with nothing but spray paint cans in a 30 mph wind. Given the wildly gusty wind I can't believe it looks this good and even better in person.

So how do I protect it from fading / chipping off. I saw lots of products for taking paint off of metal (graffiti) but not really any good advice I could find on how to make it last.

Thanks for the ideas 1...2...3... antifreeze!
