We've got ourselves three high-quality scenes here. This is a tough heat. My votes:
#1 - Alien. I really like how everyone is just standing around stunned at the end. #2 - The Shawshank Redemption. The scene is probably better in context. As a standalone scene, it's okay but not great. And spoiler question because I haven't seen the movie in ages. What did Andy do to go to prison? Was he innocent or guilty? #3 - The Green Mile. It's a well-done scene, but it's a little gruesome and therefore hard to call a "favorite". I can appreciate it, but I was wincing throughout most of it.

I lose track of the details sometimes. I may have gone out for popcorn at that point, too. I don't remember.

I've honestly never gone back and re-watched any of these scenes until just now, but the one I picked was Alien, so there you are. Second would be Shawshank.

Dang, Shawshank and Green Mile in the same heat?
Overall, Shawshank is a better movie, but I give Green Mile the edge on these particular scenes. |
