Sorry to hear about your house...Vinegar and baking soda is really great to get smoke smells out of wood.. Never tried it on fire damaged stuff though... Good luck

Sorrow about your luck.
We had a friend whose house/business burned. The FD opened his gun safe somehow and left it open and sprayed foam on the guns....and the synthetic stalks stunk. Cleaned with standard cleaners and left in the open to dry. My first thought for you on wooden furniture would be Murphy Oil soap, orange glo, vinegar and water and let them air out for a while. |

Naphtha solvent. Smoke is a tar-like goo and naphtha is an excellent tar remover. It won't harm the original finish.
