Charging cell phone batteries...

I just purchased a new cellphone and get conflicting information on how to charge the battery for optimal life.

I read that you should charge to 80% and recharge at 20%. I also read that cellphones control charging through software. You can charge to 100% without problems, but will have you recharge at 15%.

Just curious. I plan on keeping this phone for at least 2 years.
