Help me name this donation / payment app..??
The Anthony Rizzo Foundation reached out to me not long ago for help with their "Home Run Challenge." They have people signing up to to donate each time he hits a home run, so you could donate $5 per home run, for example. It's working very well for them, and PayPal is now going to fund the development of a more complete version of this tool that will work for anybody.
So it basically comes down to "event based donations" or "event based payments", where somebody agrees to pay $x any time {something} happens. This could be anything, really, but it fits nicely with sports to think about home runs, touchdowns, goals, 3 pointers, etc. It doesn't have to be sports, though. It could be donating any time the temperature drops below or above a target, as a random example. So the idea is that many people can sign up and agree to donate $x, and then any time the {something} happens a button could be pushed to trigger the processing of all the payments. I'm struggling to come up with a name for such a solution. "Event Based Donations" just doesn't have a good ring to it. GiveTrigger is something I've been kicking around, but I don't really like that either. Any thoughts? |

Causecause. (You support a cause because of a cause.)

You could also go with CauseEvent, but I think people would confuse it with charity events. Causecause is better.
Oh! Or maybe CauseBecause, as long as people don't think that giving is triggered by Bill Cosby rapes. I still like Causecause best.

You could go with Cause'N'Affect if something causes you to affect something. But that's potentially confusing.

Would you go Cause'N'Affect or Cause'N'Effect? I think both could be right, though I like the action verb Affect more.
