One game separates us from second place in the AFC...

For those that have panicked,

The NFC is weak as, and the AFC is stacked. Hence the record differential

It's all guuud!

Are you familiar with the concept of the 'tiebreaker'?

Fine, you talked me into it. I'll allow the Chiefs to play the remainder of the games on their assigned NFL schedule.

If they don't win most of them though, I'm going to reserve the right to be pretty upset.

We are kind of screwed on the tie breakers now, especially if Baltimore wins their division.

The AFC is not so much stacked as it is mediocre (which is a good thing, for us anyway). The NFC is a little more top heavy but that doesn't make it weak, per se. The Cardinals are clearly the best team in the NFL at this point and the Packers (with Rodgers) are right up there. Bills, Ravens, Titans, and Bengals all have at least one head scratching loss. I don't think anyone, even nationally, really takes the Browns or Raiders that seriously. The Chargers are still inconsistent and we can't stop stepping on our own dicks. I agree with your overall point, which is that the Chiefs are still very much in the thick of things, but the AFC as a whole actually kinda sucks.

We were supposed to be the power team in the AFC and without us firing on all cylinders..
I don't see an AFC team winning it all unless we get our offense going.

Right. If you had to pick a SB winner right now, it would go:

AZ
GB or LA
maybe the Titans but I would probably still put the Cowboys in here

you have to get 3 or 4 deep before an AFC team, based on the now, is a legit contender.

We've only played 1 of 6 divison games. We get a chance to even the score against LA and have both games against the Raiders and Broncos left to play. The Raiders and Chargers have had their bye week and that could be a factor as the season wears on. Even if we don't win the conference, I still think we win the division and get a home playoff game.

The Chiefs have lost 4 games to themselves.

Once they unlock the offense and if the defense keeps plays OK. We are back to it. I know that is a big if on the offense, but the film doesn't lie. It is mostly self inflicted.

Hope we can win the next two games get to the Bye and regroup and go on to rap faces.

On one hand, it feels very Pre-Mahomes in that people seem to love the idea of simply making the playoffs, even when there's zero evidence they could actually play well enough to win more than maybe one game against an equally bad team.

OTOH, this team is probably about as close to the definition of "dangerous team no one wants to play" if they do make it to the playoffs... and add to it that the Titans are the only team in the AFC with fewer than 3 losses and are without Henry for a while.

Just imagine if they had played well in October, they would have like a 4 game lead right now in the AFC.

The Ravens game says otherwise.

We were the better team that day apart from one play.

Let's not go too far. The Titans smacked us and the Bills clearly wanted it more.

We definitely beat ourselves against BAL and LAC, though, I'll admit. At the same time, we really had no business stealing that W against the Browns.

Without any ****ery, we'd probably be sitting at 6-3 right now so we're not too far off.

There's no reason to worry about other teams. Chiefs got this. The others will fade like usual.
