It wasn't a fine-dining city when I lived there.
If you want friendly people, strippers and chain restaurants, Tulsa is your place. |

Went there for years for the soccer tourneys, don't think we ever ate outside the Embassy Suites.

You all did read that we are going to a concert there, right? Driving to next town is not an option.
I'm Also a believer that every town has places worth eating even if it's the greasy spoon behind a gas station.

It's been 13 years since I lived there, but an area called "Cherry Street" aka Peoria had some decent local places to eat. I would give you names, but they probably aren't the same any more. There is a rougher area south of 31st to 61st on Peoria you should avoid, though. |

Juniper is the best bet in tulsa. Tavern is also great, Smoke has a fantastic Sunday brunch.

Burger: Fat Guys by the ball park
Seafood: White River Fish Market Pub: Kilkennys Italian: Ti Amo Steak: Mahagony Beer: McNellies Thai: My Thai Pizza: Andolini's Upscale deli: Boston Deli Breakfast: Brookside by Day All safe, good options. Several good options on Cherry St (15th st between Utica and Peoria) and also several on Brookside (Peoria between 31st and 41st). Downtown and Brady District also have several solid choices. Urban spoon is a safe judge on food in tulsa. |
