I think Tomlin, Harbaugh, Payton, and Carroll are all overrated.

I also think this list really illustrates how shitty the state of NFL head coaching is. I wouldn't let most of these guys manage a McDonald's.

Harbaugh rode an elite defense, and a pretty meh qb into a SB victory.
Tomlin and Payton have had some pretty amazing offensive players including stud qb's and have won 1 SB each.

Carroll took his team to the SB twice, and was a bad play call away from 2 victories.

I'd like to see what Andy can do with a qb not named Alex Smith.

Sean Payton isn't a good coach. They've been .500 or worse 6 out of his 11 years coaching the Saints. He had good teams in 2009-2011 sorely because of Gregg Williams.

True, but he does have a SB ring. Can't discount that. But I think when he's forced to coach with a mid level qb, he won't be nearly as good as he has been with Brees.

Maybe top 10. You have to rank every active coach that's won more than 1 playoff game in the last decade or so above him.

Andy has a lot of great qualities about him I like the guy. I also think that he (Andy) is a pretty good coach, and, at times, even great, yes, I said it, great. He has had his moments of not-so-great but who amongst any other coach on the list hasn't.

I'll continue to ride with him (Andy)

I'd rather have Belichick, Carroll, Tomlin, John Harbaugh, and Sean Payton.

I think Reid is better than McCarthy, but hasn't had Rodgers. He's slightly above the McCarthy-Fox-Marvin Lewis tier. Sixth seems about right.
