Electronics Samsung Galaxy S8

My iPhone is on it's last legs and I'm going to be upgrading within the next week and all the research I've been doing is pointing me towards the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Any planateers own one that can give a first hand review? Would you recommend it to a friend?

I've always though the iPhone was a great product but but I'm not buying a 7 model when the 8 comes out next month and it's looking like the 8 will be around $1200. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is half the price for what seems like an equal phone and I won't have to deal with iTunes anymore.

I'm right there with you. I have an LG G4 and looking to upgrade, and all the research I've done says the SGS8 is the way to go, but I've always been an Android guy.

i dropped my LG G3 i have had it for a few years, it was trusty, but when i dropped it the screen shattered and only half of the screen works now

. I ordered me a Galaxy 8. It will be here on Monday or Tuesday! Cant wait! I almost went back to IPHOne, but i held strong! lol

I'm on the s8 and love it. Coming from the g5 and I prefer this to it. Only thing I miss from my LG us the quick remote.

whats the actual difference with the 8plus? i almost got it, but the only thing i could tell is the curved screen and i dont care for that on a phone.

This. I've had mine since launch and I've had no issues at all. I upgraded from the s6 and my problem with it was battery life. s8+ battery has been great. I was a little concerned about the fingerprint reader placement, but I got used to that after a week or so. I never put my finger over the camera lens like I read about in reviews before getting mine. The only real complaint I have at this point is the Bixby button. I've had zero use for Bixby and having a button dedicated to it seems silly.

Size and battery life are the main differences. Both models have the curved screen.

I think I've done all the research possible as far as intangibles. I guess all I have left is how durable would you rate the phone? I've been known to drop, scratch and spill my phone. It looks like something my wife should be keeping in her purse as opposed to me in my pocket. Besides that I'm pretty much sold and going Android.

I've heard it's one of if not the most breakable phone out right now. That being said, I've dropped mine 10 or so times including once on concrete where I figured I'd have a cracked screen but still no issues. No screen protector and just a basic spigen case and it still looks brand new.

I dropped my s8+ numerous times on carpet, hardwood floors, etc. and was very impressed that it did not crack. Then, I missed my pocket while walking through a parking lot, it did not fare as well falling on asphalt.

Went groom and s6 to the 8. good phone, much better battery. I did strip mine though and the corner of the screen is cracked, the wrap around makes it susceptible.

same. screens are like 575 dollars. insurance worth it. the screen itself is durable but the edge design makes it susceptible
