He was shit before his injury, too, but I guess it's possible the wrist is still bothering him and preventing him from bouncing back.

My hope is that a winter of rest and a burning desire to rebound from his worst season ever will put Gordo back on track in 2017. It better given the money we've committed to him. Just can't imagine him dropping off a cliff like this for good this soon.

An influx of Money can tend to soften the desire to excel for some people. Not saying that's true for AG, but it's not all that uncommon for some Pro Athletes.

Gordo doesn't strike me as that kind of guy. If anything, he may have been pushing too hard after getting off to a slow start that was attributable merely to baseball (shit happens), not desire.
