NIU's Perez Ford visited Chiefs yesterday
Interesting player. Was a track star in high school and won fastest RB in Illinois his senior year and then ended up playing DE in college and was pretty productive. Hes fast, quick and very strong and recently just put on another 12-15 lbs of muscle (6 foot 240 lbs now) as he is looking to convert to MLB in the Pros. I've been told the Chiefs are very interested in Perez, seems like the type of project that Dorsey loves.

Looks pretty good to my uneducated eye. Can he cover would be the big question for him transitioning to a LB position.

So he played RB, DE, and now looking to convert to MLB. Obviously an athlete but doesn't he look a bit smallish for a MLB?

6 foot 240 lbs sounds about right for a MLB. DJ and Mauaga are the same weigh just a few inches taller. Danny Travathan is about 6 foot or 6'1" 240. I think his size is the reason why hes converting to MLB

He looks a bit like Tamba Hali.

The way he runs with wide steps and doesn't look fast but just fine a way to get there.

Also in the way that he gets blatantly held on many plays.

My question is how Ford would fit in with Ford. Would Ford play inside while Ford played outside? Would they both be outside? If it turns out that Ford is a bust, Ford could be an insurance policy. But I think we need to show confidence that Ford will continue to develop, letting us keep Ford on the sidelines to learn.
