mock 11/10

1.23 Andrus Peat OT, Stanford
A very massive man, has freakishly long arms, and an assload of power, I think hes the best true lt in this draft class. this guy will take over LT day 1 and will be an upgrade.

2.23 Cameron Irving OT/guard, Florida State
Very fluid athlete, good second level blocker, has a lot of power, he has a square build so i think hed be a solid guard for us, but hes still long enough, and fluid enough to play swing tackle, like scwartz last year. Played dt until his sophmore year. Think he wins the lg job year 1, or at least is a nice swing tackle.

3.23 Antwan Goodley wr, Baylor

This guy is a tank of a wr 5'11 220lbs with 4.3 speed and a 660lb squat. yikes. He's dynamite in the open field. hes the kind of guy tough enough to catch slants, and explosive dnough to take them to the house. I think hed go much higher if not for his injury this year.

3.(comp pick albert) Tony Lippett, wr, michigan state.

Big body at 6'3 played corner, and switched to wr his sophmore year. this guy has ridiculously strong hands, he is a chain mover, and can make a guy or two miss to pick up extra yards. I think he's a real sleeper in this draft class. Ultra competitive guy.

4.23 Steven Nelson,cb, Oregon state

Press man corner i love. He is ridiculously aggressive, he is great at jamming guys at he los and running with them, he is also a good tackler.

5.23 Owamagbe Odighizuwa
Very good burst, Very high celing as a pass rushing 3-4 end. Also gets great penetration. He does have an injury history, but a great guy at this spot.

5 (comp pick) Darius Kilgo dt, Maryland

This guys is stronger than a mule. think hed be a serviceable backup to poe , he has a non stop motor, and an impressive amount of lateral quickness. Could also be a back up run stuffing end.

6.23 terrance plummer ilb ucf

guy has a nose for the ball, not overly athletic, but a solid downhill player, with great instincts. reminds me of chris borland.

6(comp pick) Zach Vigil, ilb, Utah State

Another downhill player with a good nose for the ball. has a ridiculous 7 sacks this year and 100+ tackles. he is also a signal caller type.

7. Nick Marshall qb Auburn
comes with a small rap sheet, but i think he has a lot of potential in this offense, even more so than murray. he has a rocket of an arm, and can flat out fly. i dont know īf he has the smarts or not, to run a reid offense, but hes capable of the throws, and is a weapon with his feet. He needs a ton of work, he even throws somewhat sidearm'd but the tools are there. id rather have him in the stable over bray or murray.

A few things, I know most will HATE this draft due to taking o line in the first two, but I feel its necessary. There is literally no point in having even megatron, if our QB can't even do a 3 step drop without getting hit, id like peat at Lt, and fish at rt. I know our line has improved, but these guys have been holding our offense back terribly. Half of the playbook has probably been eliminated due to the poor pass protection. They don't open up many holes in the run game, they cannot get down field and make blocks for screens. Reids done a nice job of adjusting to make our offense go in spite of them. Fish is a very good run blocker, but man be struggles with premier pass rushers. Hed be perfectly fine on the right side. I do think we get some solid wr prospects in goodly, and Tony though.

Another issue is ilb. I failed to draft DJs replacement. I honestly only like McKinney, and Kendricks. I dont think either are worthy of a first rounder, and they'll likely both be gone in the second.

I think a draft like this would help the o line tremendously going forward, but resigning dj would be a must, and him returning to form would be a must. Also think a decent FA wr signing is important.

I know folks around here hate fatties, I just don't see a point in having a premiere wr, if said wr only has 1.2 seconds to get open every play. These guys are really hurting us.

I know a lot of people like 1st round qbs as well. I guarantee you any rookie qb would have a very short career playing behind this o line.

I think it's a solid draft (Peat's not going to fall that far, though).

But yeah, the two OL will kill you as soon as the other show up.

I'll start your car for you.

I mean, even I sneered at it. That's saying quite a bit.

One time SNR posted a mock where we literally drafted a bunch of farm animals and I didn't react that negatively.

using a first round pick to replace the #1 pick in the draft two years ago, I like it...

but seriously, anything that gets fisher off the LT spot is good...he hasn't flashed a single '#1 pick moment' in almost 2 years and moves like someone driving 45 in the passing lane

I don't hate it... but yeah I would prefer a WR in the first and then we could go OL in 2nd and 3rd. I feel a strong need for help on our OL as well but would like to see the Chiefs go with the "sexy" pick just once. Let's move up, if possible, and get "The Guy" that every team wants on their WR core.

I feel what youre saying. But of all years weve had, this is the year we desperately need some lineman. This is literally the worst chiefs offensive line I have seen. We desperately need atleast 2 lineman who can contribute immediately. I just see no point in having a hall of fame caliber rb who is a lethal screen runner, and a stud muffin wr, if they cant even pass block long enough for a 3 step drop, or open holes and block down field for screens.

All that being said though, if they can nab a good guard or solid tackle in FA like mike iupati, fusco, michael roos, id be ok with them taking a wr in the first, and OL in the second.

Db over o line? No way. Nfls number 1 ranked pass defense vs like the 2nd or 3rd worst o line. I agree that none of our dbs are super stud muffins, and that they do benefit from a good pass rush(though they held their own without a pr against buffalo), but they are a solid group, and no way we need a cb over OL. The only way id take a db over a lineman would be if I didnt think peters would be a problem, and he was there in the second. Other than that I dont mind your order though.

There were too many blown coverages that I saw yesterday. We lucked out because Orton didn't see them or just flat out missed on the throw.
