Most Unlikable Baseball Player Tournament - Round 1, Heat 14
Please vote for the two players you dislike the most in each heat. Feel free to give reasons (words, pictures, videos, etc.) why this player is unlikable, as it may not always be immediately evident and you may persuade others to join in your disdain of douchey players. Four players from the nomination poll will be chosen randomly for each heat, and the top two will go to round two.

HEAT 14:

Alex Rodriguez (Mariners, Rangers, Yankees)


Unlikable Traits:
- Apparently likes to kiss himself in the mirror.
- Known steroid user who continues to maintain his innocence.
- Has received two of the largest contracts in the history of sports and spent a good chunk of them suspended for steroid use or injured.
- Apparently wants to keep every home run ball he ever hits and bribes fans to get them (I witnessed this in person when he hit a homer at the K last year. Someone a few feet away from me caught it and some security guards came and said Rodriguez was offering him a signed bat or basically whatever he wanted for the ball. This was not even a landmark home run - it was like #672 or something).
- His ex claims that he had not one, but two portraits of himself as a centaur in his home.
- Cheated on his wife with Madonna.
- Slapped Bronson Arroyo's glove while he was trying to tag him out in the 2004 ALCS.
- Sent a ball boy to ask for women's phone numbers in the crowd during the 2012 ALCS.
- Yelled "I got it!" while running past an infielder on a pop-up in 2007.

Trevor Bauer (Diamondbacks, Indians)


Unlikable traits:
- Wore boxing gloves in the dugout in a game against the Royals after they were involved in a couple of brawls. How cute.
- Responds to tweets from fans and calls them losers like he is 13 years old.

Noah Syndergaard (Mets)


Unlikable traits:
- Intentionally threw at Alcides Escobar during the 2015 World Series, and barked that if people had a problem with it, they could "meet him 60 feet, 6 inches away."
- Signs autographs with the inscription, "Meet me 60 feet, 6 inches away." Apparently he forgot that they lost the World Series.
- Dresses like Thor in public even though he is allegedly a grown man.
- Called someone a "pillowbiter" on Twitter on his first day as a New York Met.

Justin Verlander (Tigers)


Unlikable traits:
- Is on the Detroit Tigers.
- Like Bauer, he personally responds to fans trolling him on Twitter instead of realizing he's a professional athlete and ignoring them.

This is a frustrating draw for Bauer because I really want him to move on, but it's pretty hard to get past Rodriguez and Syndergaard.

Also, Verlander was chosen as just kind of the token Tiger. But upon further reflection, I'm not sure why we didn't choose Miguel Cabrera. He's even more of a douche.

I did not realize Cabrera was not in this. He's such an ass and a much better sacrificial Tiger.
