From a pure business point of view, if you have the cap room you hold him until the market dries up. Then you offer him half. If he doesn't accept you cut him loose and hope half is better than any other offer he receives at that time.

That's just being an asshole.

I hope he renegotiates and stays. Maclin at least won't be awful across from him (like every other ****ing douchenozzle we've ran out there since his mother****ing rookie year), and he can contribute if Alex isn't dead on the turf.

I don't know, at this point I think the 11 million in cap savings is worth more to us that having him here. So my question is can we cut him and resign him? Is that allowed? And would he ever do it?

Back at a lower amount would be good, I guess that is what they are haggling with his reps to look for a $ both can agree on.

Problem with WRs wasn't Bowe. He was productive.
Problem is you can't afford to complement what he brings with a gaggle of garbage.

These guys added up to 1 more passing target than Bowe

750k is just his base salary. The pro-rated portion of his signing bonus will also count against the cap.
