Korean Starcraft Finals

Them crazy Koreans. Wonder if any of those nerds got laid?

Winner got roughly $44,000.

There were lots of flashy lights and pyrotechnics, so I knew it would catch my interest for at least five minutes. I banged some inflatable sticks, and I yelled about zergs. Check it out :eek5:

The hot announcer chick. She did a lot of high-pitched yelling and stuff.

The other two announcers who had less whiny voices.

Then they did this montage/highlight reel from the last finals (from what I gathered....who the **** knows).

More high-pitched talking. She was introducing the two players. I had a video of this shennanigan, but it was bad.

PLAYER ONE:

PLAYER TWO- Team Startale (July). I was cheering for him because I have a soft spot for the underdog.

Then, ****ing SECRET came on to perform two of their songs. I will post the vid of Shy Boy after pics. I was fapping.

Sound-proof box 1:

Sound-proof box 2:

Let's check out the specs:

I always thought Mountain Dew was the carbonated staple for serious gamers, but I guess everything is backwards in Korea.

ZERG ZERG ZERG ATTACK!

After 6 rounds, OGR (or whatever the **** his name was...I can't be ****ed to remember) won 5, thus winning him the title of Starcraft champion.

LET'S ENJOYING! (Yes, they dropped him)

Both players never cracked a ****ing smile. Not once.

July wins a prize from the white guy from Blizzard. Woo woo.

Winrar receives prize from a guy who I can only assume created Starcraft...I dunno, he's old.

Then, the winner stood on this podium for about 5 minutes in this exact position, but kissing his trophy. Just kissing it. I haven't seen passion like that in a long time. It was kind of creepy.

After the epic battle was over, I donned my fob glasses and got a photo with the loser (:hs.

Even though I've never played the game, it was still an awesome event. I may even try and play at work one day. My kids would love that. :mamoru: And, as promised...SECRET- Shy Boy. Goddamn they are so hot. Also- don't criticize my video skills...I'm a special child.

So the Korean give out science / technology awards and we give out awards to women that crush beer cans with their tits.

Pretty much says it all doesn't it.

I've never understood why, but as you can gather here, the Koreans are friggen nuts about Starcraft. Over here, it sells well as a very popular game. Over there, they have professional starcraft leagues where the professional Starcraft players play for hours every day, encouraged not to give in to silly distractions like dating which could hurt their Starcraft skills.

So, obviously when Blizzard crated Starcraft 2, they unveiled the worldwide debut of that game in South Korea instead of over here.

Does anyone play SC2 around here? I'm pretty n00b, but I enjoy playing. I've been playing a couple months and was just moved up to platinum league!
