Pretty neat.
I would temporize one thing he said about Andy's offense. It isn't just ad-libbing. If you watch closely, it's all very organized (chaos for the defense though) for the first three seconds or so. Then if Pat hasn't thrown the ball, it's everybody go find a soft spot on the field and get open. That's basically the mesh-point of talents between Andy and Pat. |

"I wish I had a coach like Andy Reid"
What the ****, Tony? Dick Vermeil was chopped liver or some shit to you? Like, no, Trent Green is certainly not Patrick Mahomes, but Vermeil found PLENTY of ways to get you the damn ball, sir. Ungrateful prick. |

Tony always struck me as a bitter, me-first, excuse maker. Fun to watch and a great player, but sadly not a great person. He aired too many grievances.

Hopefully he’ll be in Miami so he can watch the greatest tight end in franchise history hoist the Lombardi in person.

I always loved Tony the player. Total pro. Played hard. Unselfish. Tony the person always struck me as if he were bigger than our little cowtown here in KC. He owes the bulk of his HOF career to Vermeil, Al Saunders, and Trent Green.
Edit: I just looked and he was insanely productive during the dark ages as well (aka the Herm years). No wonder he wanted out of here.

Love Tony G. always will. He was the greatest TE of his day. Guy just wanted to WIN. Cant blame him for that.
I think he has gone out of his way to show love for the Chiefs and their fans. He loves watching the Chiefs play and what player wouldnt want to play with Mahomes? No need to diss the guy. All time great Chief. But yeah, Kelce is breaking every record for TEs ever! |

I remember feeling bad for Tony during his last year or two with the Chiefs. He gave me so many good games/seasons to remember. So many incredible performances. And at the end of his time in KC, it was blatantly obvious that the Chiefs weren't going anywhere in the post-season, and I thought he deserved his chance at NFL glory. I wanted him to be traded to a team that could give him that chance.
And Holy God, if Tony was in his prime right now, and on the team with Kelce? We wouldn't need a defense at all. We could field 11 nuns on defense and win every game by 20. |

The question/topic was about creating a career of production.
Vermeil gave Tony production. About as good as anything Tony could have hoped for in that era of NFL football. Tony's just being an asshole. He's always been an asshole. He always will be, too. **** Tony. |
