ABC Wide World of Sports. Loved this rivalry... I was a Mongoose fan and hated the Cobra...

I remember watching WWS and Mongoose and Snake going at it with Dad and my Brother. Dad loved that stuff.
RIP Mr McEwen What about Big Daddy Don Garlits is he still with us?

Yes he is and he is one of BRC's neighbors as he lives in Tampa and is 86. Ever been to his museum over near Gainesville? It is certainly worth the trip. |

Drag racing back in the heyday of muscle cars was the ultimate high. Every kid who had a beat up Chevelle or Camaro could fantasize about going head to head against the Snake or the Mongoose. I also had some fantasies about Jungle Pam Hardy but it didn't involve racing against her! RIP

I had a bunch of Hot Wheels when I was a kid. My parents gave them to one of the neighbor kids when I went off to college. They'd be worth a lot of dinero now. My mom gave my baseball cards away too. That one hurt.
