As a lifelong Mizzou fan, Sayers is one Jayhawk I can stand up for and applaud. All those hits from those guys in the Black and Blue Division. Hope he can live out his remaining days in peace and comfort.

Gale Sayers once claimed he literally knew or could see where everyone was on the field, which was the reason he was such an effective runner. He knew where all his blockers were, he knew where all his opponents were and the best angle to close on him, so he could anticipate everything happening on the field.
What a unique gift. |

That sounds a bit like Wayne Gretsky. He wasn't the biggest nor strongest, but knew where the puck was gonna be.
