New album is very, very good. One song with some clean vocals from Randy and a couple other songs with guest vocalists makes for a different album than we are used to but it's still a great Lamb of God album.

I just listened to Overlord. Wow. Not at all what I remember from them. I really like it.

That's the only song they have recorded in 8 albums where Randy has actually used clean vocals. In that song, it definitely does a great job of building to the more "typical" Lamb of God sound.

On a slightly unrelated note, I ****ing love Spotify. I was able to grab this album the day it came out and I have the rest of their catalog as well. |

Always liked the music from Lamb Of God. Just not a fan of the growl/scream singing style. A little of that, okay. Most or all of the song, no so good. I'll check out this album.

Of course I say that but I absolutely love Machinehead's The Blackening album.

That album is a masterpiece. Robb Flynn's vocals are quite a bit different than Randy Blythe's. Blythe's vocals are definitely more death metal than Flynn's. And Flynn uses clean vocals quite a bit and has going back to the beginning.

Same genre; different band, but I have been looking for a place to put this as I highly recommend these guys: Gemini Syndrome
