Teams submit rule change proposals for 2020
The proposal by the Eagles to have the losing team skip the onside kick for 4th and 15 from the 25 would be a huge advantage for us.

Just revert the onside kick lineup rule back to what it was. Keep the new kick off line up restrictions for a kick off. But allow the previous onside kick position lineups to go back to what they were problems solved

**** it.
Give a TD scoring team these three options: 1) go for two points from whatever yard line as it is now. 2) go for one with an XP kick as it is now. 3) give them the option to pick up an untimed 4th and 10 from their own 25 yars line.

I'd stick with 4th and 15. Otherwise I like that they can use this in place of the XP or 2 point try. A team that is down by 14 would have a shot to tie it up and force OT, but they would have to be perfect to end a game.

Miami's proposal makes sense. Why shouldn't the clock run if the defense declines a penalty on the offense?

I hate the onside suggestion, although Mahomes and this offense could legitimately convert 4th & 15 regularly if they needed to score 2-3 times straight

You know, at some point you make so many rule changes that "make sense" that the product stops resembling the game of football.
I actually hate the points after TD rule in the XFL. It's gimmicky and stupid. Same thing goes for removing the onside kick with this weird 4th and 15 rule. I don't care if it benefits the Chiefs because we have a QB superweapon. Lots of things give us an advantage. How about every time a team scores a TD of 50 yards or more, the opposing team forfeits a timeout? That sure would benefit us, but it'd be a stupid ****ing rule. |

The Miami proposed rule change makes sense about the game clock.
The rest of the proposed rules can be deep-sixed. |
