Just saw the clips yesterday. Hard not to compare to Patrick Warburton. Will still check out the pilot, but low expectations.

This looks to be a little closer to the comics in tone. I'm hoping they don't dumb it down like they did the first TV show. The comic and animated cartoon were, believe it or not, pretty smart. |

Oh I agree, the original live action was horrible, with Warburton being the only redeeming quality. But he just is The Tick for me. Almost a Bruce Campbell level show in how bad it was, and how the main actor went with it and kicked ass anyway.

Edlund had good things to say about this new guy. One of the clips is Tick's first trip to Arthur's apartment. Almost straight out of the animated series, and I like the guy they cast as Arthur. |

Amazon's The Tick live action
Just watched the first episode. Totally into this. I didn't realize Edlund wrote it, definitely feels like The Tick.

OK, that was MUCH better than I expected. The clips do not do it justice.
