I can actually totally buy the idea that things like jersey sales drove up those rankings. Whose jersey has anyone had any interest in buying the past few years in KC? Meanwhile, I'd imagine Peyton and Luck jerseys have flown off the shelf for years. Before Mahomes, KC had a complete star drought. I'd bet that played a huge part in these rankings. Yeah, it's not the best way to measure a fan base. Just trying to come up with an explanation.
