First FA Pickup of Off-season?

As many of you know, this kid LOVES him some Kansas City Chiefs. Hasn't had a stellar career, but could turn it around here as he's still young, 25. If not a starter, quality depth/

Shane Ray found late notice he’d be inactive “disrespectful”

The Broncos made linebacker Shane Ray and safety Su'a Cravens healthy scratches for their game against the Browns on Saturday night and neither player was thrilled by the development.

Ray said, via Ryan O’Halloran of the Denver Post, that he found it “disrespectful” to learn late in the week that he would be on the inactive list. Cravens said that he disagreed with head coach Vance Joseph’s explanation that the team was going with its best players.

Ray, a 2015 first-round pick, has come off the bench in 11 games for the Broncos this year. He has 10 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in what seems likely to be his final year in Denver as he’s out of contract once the year is up.

Cravens joined Denver in a trade with Washington and spent two months on injured reserve with a knee problem. The 2016 second-round pick has 18 tackles in five appearances.

Look at the best defenses in the league.

It's not just scheme or coach. They're stacked with talent that plays aggressive. The Cowboys have been drafting that defense for years, the Bears have as well. The Ravens don't have the big name guys but they just play sound fundamental d.

They all have talent, they all have good coaching and they all play aggressive.

This team sucks at developing talent and they seem to take guys who were good elsewhere and they suck here.

D is suppose to be about speed and aggression not a bunch of dudes who look confused about what to do.

No he needs to repeat this year again before he gets paid. Not sure I still wouldn't trade him.

This describes the Chief's defense perfectly. Epic fail.

Shane Ray is listed as a 245 lb DE. That's too small to play DE in a 3 - 4. And, I'm kind of tired of the Chiefs trying to convert DE to OLB.

I know he's past his prime. Hell he'll be 36 next summer. But god I'd love him to finish his career as a Chief. Even in just a tiny role. I wished we had drafted him. Instead we took Craphonso Thorpe......

He played DE at MU. He is and has been an OLB for the donks. He backs up V. Miller who is the same height and only 5 lbs heavier. Some would say that Miller has done ok for his size.

I'm tired of paying high priced defensive players for them to get injured and or suck.

If he goes elsewhere and becomes a HOF'er, i'll deal with that. Tag him and trade him.
