Gonna have to do that for most classic science fiction. Stuff written 50-70 years ago is going to need some translation to find an audience today.

I always thought The Chronicles of Prydain deserved better than the one Disney film they got.

Hazel Holt writes cozies that I think would work for either TV movies or a limited run series. I'd like to see if some network could get her, and a few other of the writers in that sub-genre, to sign on for their books being used for a mystery of the week sort of show.

Charles Sailor's The Second Son was bought by MGM but never made it to the screen. I'd like to see that one done.

I thought that Childhood's End was as close as possible to the book. What didn't you like about it?

I loved everything by Arthur C. Clarke but I just never really dug Heinlein, even thought I read all of his books. At the root, they were more political in nature than sci-fi, as least that was my take during junior high and high school.

I like the dragon riders of Pern, another series I read around the same time was Peirs Anthony Xanth series. I didn't finish all the books though, I think nightmare was the last one I read. But it was in 7th or 8th grade, but I remember liking them as much as Narnia, and lord of the rings.

I did like Farnahm's Freehold. At a young age it made me think about race relations completely differently.

Things would have to be changed (science was BAD in that) but I loved the basic idea.
