Chiefs best draft move in the last five years

An Espn article over the weekend discussed what best draft move each NFL team has made over the past five years. Planteer fan favorite Adam Teicher weighed in for the Chiefs and said trading two second round picks for Alex Smith was the best draft move the Chiefs have made.

What other draft moves would trump this notion? Is drafting Marcus Peters in the first round larger than trading for Alex Smith? What draft move has this organization made that has been more impact full than trading for Alex Smith?

Can't disagree. Alex stuck out his hand and picked this team up off the ground. He's like a mule, carrying this team on his back. Win baby, win!

I guess Adam Schefter doesn't realize that Justin Houston was a ****ing 3rd rounder??

Definitely more value in getting who may be the premier pass rusher in the league for one 3rd rounder than there is for trading 2 seconds for a QB who can't overcome his head coach's limitations...

1. Todd Haley had scrubs forced on him. He didn't choose Cassel. In fact...he wanted Matt Hasselbeck.

2. Every Reid QB plays like a Reid QB. Chase Daniel was damn near an Alex clone. As long as the QB is professional enough to make the proper reads, go through the progressions, and run screens/flares/slants/checkdowns, I'm positive that QB can be successful in Reid's offense.

Which really means 2 second round picks were wasted.

Pretty sure he started to do that last year with audibles - first time Andy's allowed that.

I'd almost say Poe based on how ballyhooed that pick was and how good he turned out to be. It must really have been a case of good scouting because he had a lot of knocks on him coming into the draft.

It might turn out to be Fisher when history is written but Poe seems to be the most insightful pick in recent years.
