Jack gets an unfair bad rep and that's a shame. It's been some time since I read Life in Sports, but I don't believe he was a room mate of Lamar's(in fact, I thought he was an executive at H.L.'s oil company). Further, Jack played a huge role in making sure we were the Chiefs and not something in New Orleans. Lamar was ridiculously loyal and the 15 year decline was as much Lamar's as it was Jack's. RIP Mr. Steadman and thank you.

**** that guy. The worst thing that ever happened to the Chiefs was Jack Steadman. 20 years of absolute obscurity because of this guy. He was so horrible the kicker that shall go unnamed seems like a breath of fresh air.
Carl Peterson ran circles around Steadman after 15 seconds on the job. Probably a nice guy but horrid president / GM
