The Cavs kept every game close until the 4Q. And that's with every single one of their guards shooting like absolute shit from the outside. No spacing whatsoever. Even though I'm not big on Love, that would have made an enormous difference if the Cavs could have gone to a small lineup with Tristan and Love instead of Jones/Tristan. Kyrie would have: 1) given Smith / Shumpert badly needed rest; 2) created spacing; 3) allowed some other player but Lebron to play iso.
I didn't think it before the series, but the way the Cavs played, I agree, they would have put up one hell of a fight with 1 or 2 of these guys. |
