Ok now the mock draft I went with Dorsey's best available. A lot of risky players but if minds are right a pretty productive draft:

18: R1P18

QB JAMEIS WINSTON
FLORIDA STATE

49: R2P17
WR DORIAL GREEN-BECKHAM
MISSOURI

80: R3P16
CB JOSH SHAW
USC

115: R4P19
WR PHILLIP DORSETT
MIAMI
146: R5P18

G ALI MAPET
HOBART
177: R6P17

DT MARCUS HARDISON
ARIZONA STATE
208: R7P16

S TEVIN MCDONALD
EASTERN WASHINGTON

But if Winston falls it's a Dorsey move. I hate the guy but the potential is amazing. Smith , Muarry, and Winston battle it out if it's one more year or this year.

According to this simulation it happened I don't think it will, but if it did might be too tempting to not take a chance.

Man as much as I would like to draft a QB and Winston has serious athletic upside, as much as I like the idea of trying to hit a home run on Beckham this draft leaves me very meh on the feeling of improving the team for a couple of years.
Winston would set behind Smith for at least one year, depending on injuries, but probably more like 2 years. Yes some WRs have had a decent impact thier rookie seasons, but generally not so much, when you add into the equation the offense we run with the QB we have "chucking" the ball down the field the WR position just feels like a waste.

The positive is a couple of years from now a Winston to Beckham combo sounds nice.

The reality is that the position(s) that would have the most immediate impact is O-Lineman.

Dunno what board he was using, but Optimum Scouting had Mariota sliding to 18 as well.

I'm not so certain.

I'd say the Chiefs can get an immediate impact from a defensive back -most likely at safety. Corner is pretty damned thin as well.

If Jamaal Charles is still Jamaall Charles, then better blocking gets him back to the lofty numbers he put up a couple years ago.

If pass blocking is better then Smith can be more efficient, which means the offfense can be more efficient, and with a home run hitter at RB, more dynamic.

Better O-Line has a more immediate impact.

But how often does your average lineman come in Week 1 and play at an NFL caliber level?

How many O-Linemen did we have that actually approached NFL caliber level?

Fulton wasn't bad considering he was a 6th round pick and an instant starter. He had good moments and bad moments.
